    My chickens, all from the same batch, so no interest in roosting at night. They all huddle together in the same corner. My rooster sits sentry at the door. So they may be sleeping wherever the rooster sleeps?

    So we're raising chickens for eggs but ended up with a rooster. I've read about deciphering between non and fertilized eggs. If I want some to hatch, how do I know which eggs to leave for them while consuming the others?

    Waterproofing the coop and run

    Need help keeping rain out of the coop and run. The roof on the house is a piece of fence so I added a tarp. Then I added a second tarp; still gets soaked. The run has two tarps and at a point they overlap.
