I had them in their box but on top of a temporary cage for a baby duckling born June 1st. Is there anything I should give the duckling?
The other birds tried to peck away but I didn't let them. Never ended up leaving the babies outside.
Thanks so much for everything
update * Another one died. Someone please help me!
My quail were born July 4. I had them on straw bit switched to paper towel late last night. I feel like they should be more active. One died and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. What should I look for?
The space they have gives them room...
How would it get an infection from the incubator? I've used it once before this and followed cleaning instructions.
What can I do to prevent it in the future? Could it have been something with the eggs when I got them that caused the infection?
Sorry for all the questions but I have another...
I'll let you know the outcome. I've successfully hatched and raised quail before. IDK what is wrong with these babies. Solid advice, definitely sticking with hatcheries in the future.
Thank you I appreciate that. Yes, this place is usually popping with help and advice but it is Sunday night.
I've done all that. I've done everything I can to help, but they keep dying. I got the eggs off of Craigslist, not a hatchery. I don't think any of them are going to make it.
Thanks...
