Thanks for your quick answer! I base my thoughts on their combs also and their size. The gold and brown one is the same but two different pictures. It has a yellow single comb that has started to grow near the forehead.
Good evening, my turn to ask for some help. Out of my 9 hatched chicks, I filtered these little buddies as cockerels and I would like some thoughts before I give them away. Moms are pure Svarthöna and Vietnamese Hmong crossed with a EE dad (buff silkie x cream legbar).
Just wanted to do a follow up for anyone having the same thoughts about their eggs. 9 out of the 9 chicks are fully alive and well. Thanks for the help!
Yes I know, I have a spare batch of eggs ready to go and I don’t want to toss them out if they are still good. What’s making me doubt is that i don’t see any embryo, but I do see really nice looking veins.

Thank you both for your answers. I don’t see a lot of info about Svarthönas and when I look at Ayam Cemani, the pullets don’t seem to have a comb before a long time so that makes me nervous for my other two!
