Located In Northwest Louisiana and need to get rid of two roosters that were sold as adolescent hens in December 2020. Last week they started showing 100% rooster (wing dragging, crowing, showing hens food, light dominance mannerisms) I only have 1 adult hen and 4- 9 week old pullets.
Cold won’t be a problem because it’s 75-85• here during the day. Only have 1 adult hen right now with 3 roosters (2 of them were supposed to be hens!!!). They just started showing all their rooster mannerisms a few days ago.
I have a broody hen on day 12 of sitting on 9 fertile eggs. Just found out 2 of my hens are roosters. So now I have 3 roosters. The coop is off the ground 4 feet. Is that too high for the hen and chicks when they hatch. Also, does she need to be separated from the flock?
