    Thank you for your comments. I attached photos to my account showing we have an 18 x 18 secure coop and the hen house is inside with straw around to protect from wind.

    I have four hens and a hen house that has about 33” space on inside from bottom to top of roof. wondering if it would be okay to use a reptile heat lamp, 150W instead of standard 250W, attached securely to top for days that are in single digits. Seems like standard heat lamp would be way too hot...
