Hatching Chick Struggling - Picture Included (Viewer Discretion)

Survived and is thriving! I played it the song “3 Little Birds” by Bob Marley overnight because I figured it was going to pass on and I thought that’d be a peaceful way to go out. Woke up and she was running around business as usual. I moved her in with the others and she’s been perfect since...

VIEWER DISCRETION: Help me identify 3 dead chicks that arrived in the mail.

Pretty much what the title says. I can’t identify these breeds so wondered if anyone could guide me. I have to report them to the hatchery and they need to know specific breeds and I’m too ooked out to pick them up and move them around for better vantage points. Can anyone match these 3 dead...

    Failure to Thrive - HELP!

I will try the apple juice - thanks! And go to tractor supply this morning for some vitamins provided she is still alive. I haven’t made it out to check on them yet (I’ve got a human baby to take care of as well!)

    Failure to Thrive - HELP!

I have given her 98° sugar water, warm scrambled egg, and electrolytes. I’ve never had a failure to thrive chick before so it’s hard to bear witness ☹ do I need to isolate her for the others’ safety or just let her be until she passes on?

    Failure to Thrive - HELP!

I have a polish chick that is sleeping almost constantly. Like I truly never see it do anything besides sleep. It’s 6 or 7 days old now (I’ve had so many hatches lately I can’t remember for certain) and is growing in new wing feathers but still just seems so tiny and so so sleepy. Wondering if I...

Hatching Chick Struggling - Picture Included (Viewer Discretion)

It has started to move a bit - disconnected from the parts that were still attached after hatch. Seems very weak. Just opened its eyes and is still peeping. The thing I’m confused about is its feet. They keep twitching super super fast and then will quit and then it will move and they’ll start...

Hatching Chick Struggling - Picture Included (Viewer Discretion)

Update: hatched it the rest of the way. The blood on its back is leftover membrane. Head is remaining very tucked under the right wing. Is this a birth defect? Any help or advice greatly appreciated. It is still cheeping.

Hatching Chick Struggling - Picture Included (Viewer Discretion)

So - I have had 6 chicks fully hatch within the last 48 hours. 1, however, pipped about 36 hours ago and has been struggling. It’s been doing the “biting” motion which led me to believe it had yet to absorb the yolk/blood vessels but the membrane had dried significantly around the pip hole (it...

HELP! Chick getting bullied in incubator by others

yes exact same time but it has been a very staggered hatch. I have 12 that haven’t even pipped. Shipping eggs though so I wouldn’t be surprised by low hatch rate.

HELP! Chick getting bullied in incubator by others

I did this. I feel very sick. I hope I don’t harm the hatching chick but couldn’t continue watching the hatched on get bloodied. I also worry because they were mostly dry but not “all the way” so I hope they don’t catch a chill now that I’ve removed them.. 😢

HELP! Chick getting bullied in incubator by others

It also almost looks like it has a yellow belly? The chick being bullied that is. It flipped to its back and seemed like it had a yellow stomach. Is that normal?

HELP! Chick getting bullied in incubator by others

I’m in the middle of a hatch and a chick that just hatched is getting pecked to bits (even has a bloody spot on its back) by two 20ish hour old chicks. Terrified to open the incubator as I have a chick zipping right now and don’t want to shrink wrap it. What do I do?!
