Would the addition of pill bugs provide them with adequate protein
Oh I’m talking about this plantain
it was between plantain and dandelion , what major areas do you think I am missing ?
I have actually planned out my feed extensivley in case of these current supply lines become hindered
the main concern I had was protien to supply that we began farming pill bugs, I am a generational farmer so I already had knowledge I just shifted to my birds
I started the process growing my own chicken feed it’s currently composed of : sorghum, millet, and sunflower seeds
-I was wondering would it be safe to add in dried plantain leaves and turnip greens?
I have tried giving them Elm branches and a large plug of grass, they seem somewhat interested in it, i’ve noticed a decrease in the pecking but not a total stop . I have eight in total
Yes they are in a large coop meant to house 10 standard full-size birds, and for protein I started feeding them 18% medicated starter and giving them turkey a few times a week
Does anyone know of a good homemade anti-Peking solution , I asked about blu-cote and there was ALOT of debate on whether it’s a dangerous item for both people and the chicks?
i’ve been recommended thing like Vick’s vapo rub, but that only had a slight effect ?
I’m asking if anyone knows how to...

They are acting much more like normal chickens now, I have two they fly to me and love being held , two that tolerate it and are warming up more . Two that are still getting used to being picked up and pen really shy one that just doesn’t like being held , thank you very much for the advice
I had 8 polish bantams in the brooder , but I removed 1 due to a pecking Injury , the brooder is big enough for them to move, fly, jump, run around , and scratch in . I just noticed they when their head feathers started to come in they started pecking each other
