    Turkey Poult Identification

I know this is asked on the daily but I just want to make sure I didn’t make another mistake buying Broad Breasted babies. TSC had a bin of Heritage Turkey. All were this color so I didn’t have choices. I was suckered in because I absolutely ADORE my chocolate turkeys and wanted more. Any...

What breed of duck is this?

Nope. No drake feathers yet. I can tell most seem like hens based on their sounds but one must be a boy cause one is more raspy and not as fast and “talkative” like a hen. But I have an older drake fawn and white runner and a Rouen hen. The little fawn and white has been hanging out with my...

What breed of duck is this?

Thank you! I would die to have an apple yard or harlequin but I can’t find local breeders with them. I adore the Swedish. I like that I know have one of each coloration lol.

What breed of duck is this?

I took in 3 ducklings from a rescue that were of similar age to some of mine. One was a khaki Campbell, one a fawn and white Indian runner, and then this one. I was hoping it was a welsh harlequin or silver apple yard based on the bill when I saw a front only picture (picked them up when they...

    Gender of silkie

When feeling the comb area it is flat/smooth when I actually got to hold it the other night but it’s so hard to get good photos of it. It’s not as curious and friendly as my older ones. Lol

    Gender of silkie

I hear that silkies are hard to sex for a while. My little silkie is about 4-5 months old. It’s the only chicken of my flock that is unsexed. It flocks with my Mille Fleur d’Uccle bantam pair. These are the closest pictures I can get of it’s face area at the moment. Any opinions appreciated! Thanks!

    Female duck aggressor

I have a few ducks and they’ve reached maturity now as I saw one drake trying to mount a female in the pool. But during this action, I also saw another female holding on to the female being mated. She then afterwards kept biting her and going after her. Is this normal female duck behavior if...

3 month old gold lace Wyandotte’s

Here’s better pics!! And with both together! #1 #2 #1 left, #2 right You can see my barred rock Roo in the background that’s the same age. I also have another bantam Roo in the flock as well.

3 month old gold lace Wyandotte’s

You can kind of see both in the bottom pic but I just don’t see them as roosters. They act nothing like my other two or make vocalizations like the other roos. 😔

3 month old gold lace Wyandotte’s

I was told both my Wyandotte’s were hens early on when I questioned them being roos due to their combs and waddles. I still believe that they are hens but some people saw a few curly tips on the tails and thing they’re roos. If so, I have way too many roos and would need to get rid of more than...

    OEGB- Roo?

Thank you! I could never figure out his breed!

    OEGB- Roo?

I suspect this little one is an old English game bantam- of what color, I do not know. I now suspect he’s a Roo as well. Just the past day or two he’s gotten much more red around his comb and waddle. He’s around 4-5 weeks old. 😔

Juvenile duckling- what breed am I?

If this is my only runner duck, is that going to be an issue? It’s bonded with the gosling and I have 3 other domestic ducks and 2 younger ones as well.

Juvenile duckling- what breed am I?

This is my “ugly” duckling as it’s going through the awkward stage and has light brown feathers coming in that make it appear dirty all the time 😹 I think this is a fawn Indian runner? Maybe a buff but it’s staying lighter on the beak and feet. Also has a lot of white markings. Haven’t even...
