    Little rescue chick?

My little chick seems to have a fast growing growth in his neck. It wasn't there last night but the lump is the size of a golf ball and at the base of his neck above his breastbone. He's very angry and pecking. I'm thinking it's hurting him! Any advice please?

    Little rescue chick?

I think he's 5 weeks. Going by the fact that he still has a few downy feathers and his proper feathers are still growing. Am I right with the age?

    Little rescue chick?

Would a baby cockerel do the movement of crowing but with no sound. I've been thinking he's got something stuck in his throat maybe? He's been stretching his neck and opening his mouth today.

    Little rescue chick?

Nooo!! I don't want a cockerel. I only want hens for 2 reasons. I live in a close neighbourhood so can't have crowing going on....and I don't want chicks, I want eggs to eat.

    Hi from Essex

Hello. I have acquired 2 brown chickens, a white/black bantum and a little fledgling chick. I have done some research but think you cannot do better than ask people who know. I'm glad I found this site and look forward to your advice. Hazel.

    Little rescue chick?

Hi. I rescued a chick that has been bullied by other hens and also ducks. I have no clue what breed or sex it is. Looks to be a bantum type I think and about 5 weeks old? Can anyone help with identification and gender please. Thank you Hazel.
