    growing wheat and oats

    I've grown wheat grass in water and let it get nice and thick where the roots grow together and it's almost carpet-like. Would oats grow that way? I've seen people talk about throwing oats in the run and watering it and how fast it grows etc., so I wondered if oats would grow like the wheat.

    Is it too soon to tell or you're scared to tell me I have a flock full of roos?? :D They are supposed to be pullets from TC, and the last time I had chickens 5-6 years ago, I had no problems; but I've read here of people getting roosters when they were supposed to all be hens and I'm NERVOUS!
