I’m leaning towards sour crop based on what I’m reading. I was trying to feel her crop again and she kinda burped. And it smelt awful. Based on what I’m reading that’s a symptom of sour crop. How would I proceed?
Previous owner said she is 2. Unknown if she has laid, I wouldn't be able to tell. Her droppings are slightly runny. Her crop is normal, bright red and soft. Palpating below her vent i did not feel anything out of the ordinary.

Welcome and congrats. Great breed selection as the Barred Plymouth Rock are my favorite breed out of the ones I’ve gotten so far (small sample size, but still!)
Like I said, that smaller board was my second attempt. Based on what everyone said my original board was better, it just needed to be higher. I’ll put it back in, move out the trash can and sand down the edges. I’m attaching the original board I used in the first place

I’ll post a pic of what I was using before tomorrow. From what you guys are saying the board was fine, it was just the trash can was the higher object and that’s why they weren’t using it
A little bit of vulnerability here on my part as I thought I had come up with an inexpensive way to create a roosting pole for my girls. It basically entailed buying 2 cinder blocks, running a post through them elevated about 8-12 inches. The girls wouldn’t use it. They would sit up there at...
