I chucked 6 eggs in the incubator 21 days ago.
Today we have 3 chicks fully hatched and 3 eggs that haven't even pipped yet.
I gave the 3 chicks to a broody hen who has enthusiastically accepted them. Would you give her the eggs too?
She's a tried and tested broody. Very docile and maternal.
I'm planning on hatching out some cream legbar and some copper marans in a few weeks.
I don't know which roo to keep for my mixed breed flock.
Is there any benefit to one over the other? I'd like nice colourful eggs from the hens down the generations but hopefully there will be a mix of CLB...

I don't think he's lost his crow due to illness he would have to then have been sick for the last year and he just hasn't been.
Could it be age....? Maybe 5 is just to old to expecting to much wild oat sowing!
