    I originally got my girls just for fun but LOVE having the fresh eggs. I don't even refrigerate mine. They live in my cupboard with my plates since I eat them at least once a day. am loving deviled eggs. so much better than store bought eggs. I love knowing what has gone into their bellies...

    congrats. I remember my first eggs. just make sure she knows where the nesting box is so you don't have to go searching for them Iike I do now. I have to crawl on hands and knees under my porch since I was stupid and did not insist at the beginning that my hens use their nesting boxes.
