    Happy Easter (eggs)

    Nature's Hatchery?

    I ordered 15 hen chicks, 2 female khaki campbells and 2 female indian runners this past fall. They all arrived healthy and quickly and we even got an extra runner. My experience with them was positive. Good luck! Helga

    A sampling of today's eggs...

    Hi All!! I just wanted to share this picture of the beautiful and different colored eggs from today. It has just started warming up here and the hens we raised in the fall have *just* begun laying. Today I confirmed that it is, indeed, the Easter Eggers laying the beautiful blue eggs. Hugs Helga

    Weed Control

    Hi All! Is it safe to assume that I shouldn't use any kind of lawn fertilizer with weed killer in it because it would be harmful to the free range chickens/ducks/guineas/turkeys? Thanks! Helga

    How loud are ducks compared to roosters?

    We have a call duck that is very loud at times...our khakis also seem to be noisier than the rest, too. They can definitely keep up with the roos!

    I had a really good experience with Natures. I actually called after I ordered because I had a question. We somehow got disconnected and the guy called me right back. All the ducks and chickens were super healthy and we even got an extra Indian Runner in our order. I hope the OP got things...

    Do white Leghorns have different colored legs?

    I ordered 5 white leghorn chicks from Nature's Hatchery about 3 months ago. We got one extra white ones for a total of 6. 5 of the white ones have yellow legs and the 6th one has blue legs. In all other aspects she looks the same. Is she a leghorn too? Thanks Helga
