What I'd really like to know is how many strains of Mareks is there and does the vacine just cover the "most popular" strain as does the flu vacines for us humans? I can't seem to find an answer on the Internet.

Can anyone out there instruct me on how to spray my chickens with Permetrin? I found mites on them so we sprayed the coop with it and dusted the birds with DE. That was 3 weeks ago. The sparying and dusting worked pretty good. I checked them tonight and some of the buggers are back but not...

i've been told my new roo has leg mites. i just isolated him and going to start treating. i read you need to scrub their legs and feet with soapy water 1 time a day for 2 weeks, and after each scrubing rub in petroleum jelly.

a coopers hawk got my 4 month old pullet...my neighbor saw it. and 2 days ago the hawk nailed a morning dove to the ground right in front of me. the dove got aways due to the commotion i caused. it was definitely a coopers hawk.. i got a good look at it.
