Yes, only 1 pullet and forgot to mention she is a cream legbar. We do have a Delaware (Millie) but she is just over a year old and this has never happened before. Also never heard of a fairy egg, very cool. Hope it means good luck. Thanks so much for you reply.
Hey all,
Have a 6 month pullet in my flock that just started laying. Her first egg was tiny and blue. The second even smaller and white. I thought this was not possible but here is a photo of them. She laid them about 1 week apart. The large brown one is from one of our other ladies for...
We live in Phoenix and got them from a family that raised about 20 from hatchlings. They did not know what breeds they were but I was pretty sure the one was in a ameraucana she has the Tufts by her ears and the other one I was pretty sure is an Easter egg I'm still learning so I was hoping for...
Hello can anyone tell me what breed either of these ladies is. I think one is an Americana and the other in Easter egger but I'm not sure.
Thank you for your help
Hi Silverbirds, thanks for the reply. I am giving isolation a try. Have them in a dog crate (a big one) with food/water and perches. Will keep them there until tomorrow night which will be 3 days in the 'pen'. So far after 1.5 days, still no eggs from them.
Hey thanks for all the responses. I isolated them and turns out they are laying so all good there. Now two of our others seem to be 'Brooding'. They jsut stay in the coop all the time and when I take them out, they just want to sit like they are incubating an egg. We do not have a rooster.
Hello Can anyone out there tell me the best way to tell if a chicken is fertile and will lay eggs?. The person I got them from said that they were about a year and a half old but I have had them for 2 weeks now and not one single egg.
Thanks Aunt Angus.
Yea we never put them with the others so no issues there. They were never even in same yard as our main flock. We did see another vet and unfortunately his recommendation was to euthanize. Kinda heartbroken we had to let them go after all the meds/treatment. Will for sure be...

Hello my husband and I started the backyard flock about a year ago. This past Christmas he got me two blue Ameraucana hens. As soon as I saw them I knew they were sick. They have been quarantined for 3 months now. Been to the vet several times they started with treating a sinus infection for...
