I recently inherited a flock of backyard chickens. I always thought I never wanted chickens, but now that I have them, I am obsessed with them!! I’ve come to learn that the previous owners took a very hands off approach to raising the chickens (one chicken had almost no feathers due to stress/lack of nutrition but her feathers are going back now!) I also have learned that the coop is not properly winterized for Vermont winters. I enjoy doing these upgrades myself.
