    I need a chicken sweater. I think?

I have had the same problem with one of mine since March of this year. I knit her a sweater but she HATED it and I found her huddled in the back of the run....very unhappy. Try adding more protein to her diet with yogurt, blood worms, crushed egg shells...it could be a protein deficiency. It may...

advice needed for missing chest feathers

My year old hen has been missing feathers in this spot for at least 4 months. Unless another hen is pecking at her in the coop, I see nobody bothering her at all. No eggs at 22 weeks. Could be MY fault!

same here. 22 weeks and no eggs. I've put a hard boiled egg in the nesting box and all they seem to be doing is playing soccer with it. Giving them 100% layer food now with kitchen scraps daily. Come on....I want an omelet.

    poop tray in coop

I am going to try using the solid plastic trays that come with flats of flowers. I clipped the short edges together and the whole system simply pulls out for cleaning. They fit nicely under the roost- we'll see how it goes. Two weeks later....working beautifully!

My husband thinks this is enough to keep predators out, but I do not. Please share your thoughts. There is poultry netting inside the run under the dirt.
