    I'm new here, too. I don't think I could handle losing that many birds at once!! I cried when I lost three. Good you have the skills to trap your predators. I'm thinking I need to do tat, too. But you're better off with a solid pen to keep them safe, especially at night. Good (c)luck!

    beak clicking

    One of my three 17-week-old hens has started acting aggressively and clicking her beak. Anyone know what this means? She's a Gold-laced Wyandotte. Actually, all three have been acting weird the last few days... Getting ready to lay? I hope, i hope I hope!!
