I have a 13 week exchequer leghorn pullet that has always had a prominent chin. Lately it is looking more mass-like. No oral lesions. No difficulty eating or drinking. I poked it with a needle and it had clear fluid in it. Any ideas? The rest of the flock is normal.
I have a 3 month old African goose that is supposed to be a female but (s)he has turned really bitey as of late. Is it just teenagerhood or is my goose actually a gander? I have videos of her voice but I have to figure out how to link a video in.
Oh man, anglophones butchering the french language 🤦🏼♀️. It should be pronounced like meal-flurr-doocle. In general you can skip prounouncing the last letter in French, not like Spanish where the terminal E sound like ay. Saying Dooclay sounds like Louisiana Creole 😂

12 week silver laced Wyandotte cockerel up for re-homing - Knoxville. I got two accidental cockerels in my hatchery order. Gonna keep one and re-home one.

Updated photos, my other cockerel (green queen) is running around crowing and grabbing pullets by the neck but this SLW is still not showing his masculinity. His colors have changed to the male pattern and his tail feathers are starting to get a green sheen. Posted him to rehome today, I already...
I ended up with two cockerels in my hatchery order and I already have a rooster so I have a silver laced Wyandotte cockerel 12 weeks old up for rehoming.
I got this tip from a friend that has 700 poutry, felt furniture pads. Just put them on a chick today, she says the glue wears off about the time they don’t need them anymore
Colleen, I am so sorry for your experience. I too anxiously watched the reports of where the flu was being reported. As a veterinarian I fully understand the logic behind culling affected flocks but that does not make it easy to accept. I suspect that many of the government veterinarians are in...
