    Well that is different. They told me they were all OEG's when I bought them as chicks. I guess they threw in an odd ball. I will try and get a better one of the gold one. The Egyptian one has been crowing now for over a month I wonder if that is normal for that breed at that age.

    Yes there is a video that shows at 7 days old you can see which ones are pullets by the tail feathers. I have out of 49 chicks 33 cockerels. I am not happy with that at all

    When to move chicks from heat?

    yes you can. I usually take my heat away from them at 2 weeks. Here in the south with 90+ egree weather in summer we don't need heat when they are in the coop. However until when they are feathered out and good sized I can't put them outside. Snakes would kill them in a second.
