I thought it’d be nice to share a little about myself. I am currently a stay at home mom, previously a self professed workaholic bank manager. I swear I didn’t see sunlight for days at a time except through dusty windows. Now that I am blessed to stay home I have my hands full with my son, but I keep adding more to my plate. It’s like I’m binging all the amazing homestead projects I always wanted to do into a 2 year plan. My husband goes along with it thank goodness. My first homesteading project was building compost bins, my second was chickens. Another one we just completed was raised bed gardens. Some of my other projects to come are bee keeping (next spring), making maple syrup from my trees on my 1 acre property, and building a water collection system.

I am thrilled to be here because there is such a wide array of knowledge on mostly all homesteading skills. I love getting to read all kinds of threads and feel what others are feeling and offer a shoulder to lean on, encouragement, or a smile. I think that every person is beautiful, but us chicken people are the most beautiful!
