    Get rid of three roosters if you intend on keeping a rooster. They’ll end up fighting over the two ladies and that won’t be good.

    A common predator that kills chickens are foxes. Rats typically only eat chicks or weak birds in the flock. Foxes are terrible they eat the bird and then just leave them there.

    Yes you should insulate your coop. Maine has very cold winters. When you get chickens in Maine you wanna make sure you have birds that can withstand the cold.

    Thank you, I’m gonna order some Tylan from my local Tractor Supply. My rooster has had that crackly breathing since I got him last year in September. He’s about 2 years old now.
