Yep, it's the same incubator, I've googled the Janoel 48 & it's exactly the same look as the one I purchased. I've popped the incubator back into the polystyrene crate that it was packaged in to try & insulate the bottom so that the temp can hold as warm as possible. It seems to be working as...
No I wasn't helping as I wasn't sure how to go about it & was worried I could make matters worse or have an exploding chick on my hands. Basically, I was being a chicken! Lol Now you've said this, I'll give it a go (with hubby's help perhaps).
Yes, according to the instruction leaflet they are Chinese. Only sort of "brand name" says HT48. Beyond that, nothing more. Many egg & chicken suppliers are stocking them so I thought they must be good. Ummmm. Cautious about trying the new replacement as we have only been successful in hatching...
My egg incubator is a 48 egg capacity with a bright yellow lid. Fully automatic everything & I can't find a brand name on it. I contacted the supplier & they've sent out a replacement unit, no hesitations, as part of the warranty. I doubt all my eggs will hatch but I now have 5 live hatches, 11...
Ok so it's day 24 & I've misted & maintained as many wet sponges as I can fit. I must admit I was feeling pretty deflated throughout the day as nothing seemed to be happening. Around 5 pm we had a hatch with 3-4 eggs demonstrating cracks & the odd chirp sounding. We now have 2 live hatchlings...
I just finished reading hatching 101 again, to be sure I'd not forgotten anything & it says, for humidity adjustment, water trays, done, sponges, done, warm water, done & air ventilation adjustments, done. Despite EVERYTHING I've managed to find & EVERYONE I've found to ask, nowhere & no one has...
I've got water trays & multiple sponges. Already misted & adding warm water every few hrs. Humidity continues to drop & added water continues to seep. There's no way of adding (or removing) anything to the incubator now that it is in lockdown.
Currently at day 20 the alarm is sounding every few hours to indicate decreased humidity. I'm adding 1litre of warm water each time. The humidity raises from 43 to 48% Max & the warm fluid applied, seeps immediately out again. This has continued to occur as soon as the air vents were reopened...
Yes, I've read everything & followed everything to the letter!!!!!!! But clearly something is going awry. So now I'm following advice that's outside the guidelines from much more experienced people than myself. It was this advice that suggested I block the air vents to build the humidity. Doing...
