  3. 2 of the girls enjoying their second story roosts! We found a dismembered chair, this is the back rest piece, which was the perfect length to sit soundly width wise in our coop to give the girls more perching space - they jumped up immediately!

    Our city is right on the water, and I am smack downtown, so normally our winters are 'mild' Canadian winters... a few feet of snow and some cold days, but usually not too bad. We have a few tarps we will strap down on top for times of heavy rain or snow. We are getting some Barred Rock ladies...

    Thanks everyone!! I have been reading as much as possible on the Learning Center! Hopefully I will have a plan for a coop soon, and hopefully by spring I'll have some pictures for you!
