Went to check on our coop for the night and our poor roo’s comb is scary!!!
There are 2 possibilities we are worrying
1. He likes to peck eggs and tries to get them before we collect them…could be dried egg? (It’s just a possibility)
2. Fighting with other roo, the other roo is far younger...

Our rooster is VERY vocal…
He’s a 4month old serama bantam, lately when he crows it sounds almost painful, and at the end of his crow it sounds like a voice crack…should we be worried? Is there something to do to help?
Wish I could post a video for reference…
Question(s)…
we have 2 8wk old seramas that were vaccinated for Merricks when they were just born from the farm we purchased them from. We are now getting 2 more seramas to add to our flock who are not vaccinated and a few weeks older. (Maybe 3-6?) Anything we should be worried for/look out...
That’s okay!!! Thank you for your input!! Yes the other 2 are doing fine, they were/are bigger than the one that passed. I know seramas are small but this one was very very petite.
The other two do have slight clicking noises when I held them to my ear.
Thank you for this! They have a mini “hut” that they run under from time to time. I’ve noticed them sleeping in there more. The temp is measured just under the lamp, they are in a fairly large bin that allows them plenty of space to move away from heat if needed.
