Hi and thank you for the replies/advice… I have mainly some mixed breed cockerels, hatched by my son's friend. The dad rooster is Australorp, and the mother hens were Buff Orpington, Delaware, Barred Rock; my only pullet is a pure Australorp. I have to say the Australorp/BO cross's are kind...- hoganTEF

This is not looking good! Do roosters ever cohabitate nicely, or is it always a case of whittling down to one (or none)? The speckled one is the nicest one of the bunch, loves to be held and pet, so if he is a rooster I'd keep him...- hoganTEF

Hi - We are new to chickens; received 6 chicks hatched by my son's friend - they are now 6 weeks old. Wondering if we can tell the sexes. His rooster is a Black Austrolorp.
