Number 2 is my little snowy, I’ve been hoping she’s a girl, she’s much more timid than the others.
I have two flocks at moment being separated, one went broody and hatched 2/6 eggs, the photos are of my bigger flock, these were bought as day olds when her hatch failed.
Pic number 5 is my polish, Rocky. He’s 9 weeks old, I’ve been fairly sure he’s a boy but number 4 (Sky) is the one that has begun to crow and hits the neck of my small white (girl I hope).
So I have 5 babies in one flock and no idea what sex they are, all are displaying dominance
My polish girl (I think) however has recently started trying to crow.
Any help guys?
My broody has developed scaly leg mite, I have a solution to treat it however she has 5 two week old chicks, can I still treat this or could it harm the chicks, if so what else could I use?
Thanks, I tried tapping a few and can’t hear any taps back or any movement so I will candle them tonight, I don’t think I’m going to have a hatch though 😔
Hi all, I’m new to chicken keeping and have a silkie hen go broody recently, so I bought 6 eggs (postal) and let her sit.
Today is day 22 and no pipping, should I candle? I candled on day 18 and 4 seemed to be developing, the other 2 eggs were removed. Could these four still hatch?
