    I put saddles on 3 of mine that were being plucked and it seems to be helping. The area is not red anymore, less irritated and starting to grow feathers back.

    I have one of my hens doing this above and below the tail of 3 other hens. She is such a good producer and didn’t want to get rid of her that I am trying saddles on the 3 right now. Seems to be helping as I see feathers growing and the area doesn’t look red and irritated.

    Ventilation

    I live in lake county Florida little north of central Florida. I’m looking at this 6x12 coop but with a pop out roof. Lots of people in this area go with a hardware cloth flooring in the coop with bedding on top. What are your thoughts?

    JB chick coops and cages in Leesburg on facebook. I just put a deposit down on my coop and I see they make open air coops also.
