How may weeks old will EE start showing gender signs?

Thanks for asking. I'm pretty sure they are all pullets...8-9 weeks old. Thanks for asking. I do believe they are all pullets...8-9 weeks old. However, my grey one is so big! That being said...little to no comb. I guess she's just a big girl. The one with the black and white feathers around the...

How may weeks old will EE start showing gender signs?

I posted some pictures a few weeks ago of my three EEs and was told it was still too early to show any signs of a cockerel. They are now 5-6 weeks old and all three have developed differently for sure. :) The grey is the largest (was the smallest), but I can't tell if just a big girl. The one I...

What are "duck feathers" on an EE cockerel?

Right above I think someone nailed the correct term...duckwing pattern. Thanks for looking. Still waiting on what that is. :)

What are "duck feathers" on an EE cockerel?

I have no idea. I'm asking what that means when someone says to look for duck feathers forming because they only show up on cockerels.

What are "duck feathers" on an EE cockerel?

I have seen a few posts that mention what to look for when trying to figure out if young chickens are pullets or cockerels. What is meant by cockerels developing duck feathers? I used to raise Muscovy ducks...so I've seen lots of duck feathers. :) Thanks!!

    HELP IDENTIFYING AND SEXING CHICKS

Oh, I thought you were talking about just EEs. I'm also a bit confused on the "rounded" feathers versus more pointed found on EE cockerels. The top two pictures look like pointed feathers around the neck...maybe this is referring to the tail feathers. ?

    HELP IDENTIFYING AND SEXING CHICKS

What are the female-specific colors? Learning something new... :) I am keeping a close eye on a grey EE that I keep thinking may be a cockerel, but from what I've learned could just be a larger female. Maybe week five will start showing more evidence. Thanks so much!

Update pics on my Easter Eggers

I know it's probably still too early to tell if my grey and dark brown EE chicks (approximately 4 weeks old) are pullets/cockerels...but, I'm posting pics anyway. I'll post pics again next week. 🙂 Any tells?

    Easter Egger chicks

Yes, I'm aware of the correct words/distinctions. I was thinking "I hope they all grow into hens and not roosters" when I was typing my post. :)
