    Had some cattle and swine scraps in the freezer also. Put em with 4 mongooses trapped in 3 days. Boilin' em now!

    Thanks for the input all. I'm thinkin, freeze a few until I get enough to warrant firing up a pot of water... Low boil em well done and run em through an extra large meat grinder whole. I don't think the kids are gonna mistake this yummy treat for an otter pop! Will report back...

    Here on the farm we have a steady supply of mongooses (mungoose, mongeese, hah!) and they will kill chickens and snack on eggs. Literally can trap 1-2 per day. I'm always looking for free protein but since vermin often carry disease, I don't wanna feed em straight to the flock. Anybody else...

    Anybody know what is going on with these sores? This bird had been affected more than the rest but it seems to be spreading to more birds. Any advice?

    Lost one to overcrowding today... moved em into a 300 gallon stock tank and they seem much happier. About to improve their diet; had them on unlimited amounts of brown rice and finely chopped new bamboo leaves for their first 10 days and days 3-10 fed them a finely shredded hard boiled egg...
