I have been raising chickens since 2015. I had an opportunity to allow our children to care for chickens in the late 80s, but eventually had to find them homes. I couldn't think of owning chickens since then until my recent retirement as I made a career in the military/federal civil service and due to work commitments, travel, and a very busy schedule, I had to have time to dedicate myself to these animals. Luckily I have my son who attends to our chickens and I walk by and help out whenever the occasion occurs.
