Eight but the eighth one has an unabsorbed yolk and spraddle legged. I’ve got it hobbled and in a small bowl under heat to see if it will reabsorb the yolk. I wasn’t hopeful at all but it’s very lively.
I have seven new Welsh Harlequins! An eighth is trying to hatch and three eggs are not showing any movement, so are probably past the point of hatching.
I’m trying to work out the new arrivals’ genders and I think most of them are quite clear. I think pink and white are girls and the rest are...
She’s (I think she’s a she) is alive and fluffing up nicely. Her siblings keep snuggling her. She doesn’t move about as much as them and when she sits her legs splay out. Is this spraddle leg?
It’s around 80 at the moment due to the hatches. It was pretty steady at around 65 beforehand. I’ll see how they are in the morning and try the olive oil if they haven’t made progress.

Thank you. I was so excited as it was the first one that pipped then worried it was struggling in there then worried I’d done the wrong thing. This hatching business is not joke.
I’ve just posted a new thread asking for advice, so I thought it was only polite to introduce myself.
I’ve never had any sort of fowl but I’ve currently got 11 duck eggs in the incubator, 5 of which have pipped. They’re meant to be Welsh Harlequins but we’ll see what I end up with.
If this...
Hi, I’m new here and after some fairly urgent advice.
One of my eggs pipped around 32 hours ago, probably longer but that’s when I was checking the eggs and saw. There was little movement for the first 24 hours, then the membrane started looking a bit brown. I can semi-candle through the...
