    Advice Needed On Show Birds

    My grandson is wanting to show chickens for 4-H. I'm just a back-yard chicken enthusiast with some Rocks, Delawares and Orpingtons. What breed is good for a kid going in for the first time, and where would someone recommend getting show quality chicks? Thank you in advance for a reply.

    Thank you for the advice. Other than an infection on her cheek, do you think it could be something respiratory? That smell is coming from the discharge from her nose, and it's strong. Trying to rule out all possibilities here before getting scalpel out..., and thanks again for the quick reply.
