    Does having a shorter back impact their quality of life? This probably sounds really stupid but I genuinely don't know.     Hardware cloth works pretty well for me. It would probably stay up when the leaves fall however the leaves wouldn't fall through. How big is the run?     Aw those naughty girls! I think they'll follow suit - in my experience they can act like young children sometimes; if one of them has got something new and appealing (e.g. a new roosting spot) the rest just have to get their claws on it too. 🤣
