    No mites. Checked her vent. The weather here has been odd. Super hot or super unseasonal. We have a great coop - 8x8 with tons of ventilation and an 8x12 run. She’s eating normally and is one of my consistent egg layers.

    My frizzle starting molting about a month or two ago, and she just doesn’t seem to be getting her feathers back. She is still laying eggs and eating normally, but want to get opinions about whether or not it’s normal. It’s my first molting season with her, so I want to make sure. Thoughts?

    This is helpful! All good information to consider. We live in the suburbs near San Francisco/Oakland. Cold here is low 40s at night a few weeks in the year, but usually 50s-80s most of the year. Not too much rain.

    We live in the suburbs, and our backyard is half concrete, half grass. Updating our coop and run to a larger one means we needed to move it to the concrete portion of the yard. We do have some predators, so this is how we can still manage to give our girls more run space and still keep them safe.

    Thank you. She doesn’t seem to be suffering. She is very alert and moving the best she can, and enjoying the pasta I made her for dinner. I really hope the meds work. We’ve become quite bonded through this whole ordeal.
