    Preferred bedding?

We're in central NJ and use Tractor Supply pine shavings for the coop and sand for the run. We do the deep littler method in the coop and it works great for us.

SLW & EE - hen or roo?

Hi gang, I got 4 new chicks this spring (Silver Lace Wyandotte, Easter Egger, Speckled Sussex and cream legbar) to add to my flock. I'm worried my SLW and/EE are Roos. Any guesses? They are 11 weeks old today. Thanks!

Chickens won't go in coop at night!!!

I as having the same problem and used the light as others suggested. It worked great. I used a low watt florscent vulb and about 20 minutes before dark they were all in. The previous 5 nights I had to go out after dark and put them in- bulb idea worked great for me.
