    I agree screws with washers! I like ridge runners idea with the wood strips! You could trim out the hardware cloth for a more finished look!!

    Hi I was wondering when I should move my chicks to the coop. I have them in their brooder in my basement right now and they are three weeks old.     New in PA

    I am newer to the chicken scene. I live in south central PA. Just got our first batch of 8 chicks total about 3 weeks ago.4 RIRs and 4 redstars. I really find the chickens very interesting and my kids love them too. I am pleased with our decision to start our own backyard flock!!!!
