The heat hardly ever gets over 100 degrees here but all my chickens are in the afternoon shade and they do very well but they do have fresh water at all times and I spray them a little sometimes.     Hi, I'm new here but I live in Az. northwest 42miles from Hoover Dam . My chickens are in the shade during the heat of the day and they do quite well. I have 3 buffs,3 plymoth rocks 3 aracanas and 2 austrulops and they all manage very well.The temperature here doesn't usually get over 100...

    Why did my always calm RIR rooster just attack me?

    I'm new at this computer stuff -but my rooster's spurs are long but he doesn't hurt any of the other chickens. I just wondered if they should be trimed once in a while and how do you do it?
