Whew! Thanks for the replies--I bought not one, but two of these bags because the person who ordered it/them said she only orders every couple of months. What would you switch to for the week or two before butcher? I thought this game bird starter was non medicated because other game bird...

Well, hatching is over, and we got about 35 out of 70, which is a 50% hatch--not bad for shipped eggs, and they all look healthy and hardy, growing like little weeds already! That should be plenty to start with--we'll see how they grow now. I wanted to ask--one thing that I'd read is that the...

They're hatching! They started yesterday with about 7, and this morning there were about 30--there were 70 eggs, so we're hoping for lots more to hatch. We'll see--we weighed two of them -- 10 grams and 12 grams. 28 were in the brooder when I was there this morning. We'll let you know what...

So this hen is about 10 oz at 39 days and I think you said you expected her to get to 11.5 oz by 42 days--it looks like she may make it. Now, how big are you guessing she'll be by 8 weeks? Not knowing when they put on the fastest gain, I'm curious to know. If we're aiming at reaching that 16...

Do you breed them? Offer hatching eggs? I've been interested in this breed because of the very things you've said about them!

My first post--but I've been reading a lot and studying the threads here. I'm the new steward in the east that Millebantam spoke of, and I just received six dozen eggs on Wednesday from him. They ALL arrived safe and sound, not one even cracked--an amazing job!!! They were set in the...
