I’m a stay at home mom to 3 kiddos and looking to add to my family in the form of chickens! We live in Western North Carolina. We are about to start building our coop now that we have a house where they are allowed wth a bit of land. I have an incubator and we will be hatching out our own chicks to start our journey. I’m planning for a mixed flock for about 12 chickens but building for a few more than that (just in case, of course)! I’m undecided at this point on if we will keep any roosters in the flock or not.
I’m head to learn from you all as we tackle this exciting journey!

Why do you want to join our community?
Hoping to glean some information before setting up a coop this winter. Planning to hopefully incubate and raise some chicks in the spring next year and want to be ready and prepared.
