    I have this odd colored chick that came from my golden laced smooth sizzle hen. He hatched out mostly all white and gradually started to get color. Has anyone hatched out a chick like this before?? this is his mom

    He's a second generation smooth sizzle. I used a brown red cochin and a blue silkie to create his mom.

    Not necessarily. Many people use cochin because of the similar type, but one could use any breed to create a sizzle. Its more of a personal preference. A benefit to using polish, not only the big crest, you won't have the sing comb trait. Which like you said a down side would be the long tail...

    she looks a lot like my girl when she was younger! Her lacing should increase as she grows, or at least my girls lacing did. Here is a of what she looks like now .

    Thanks! I love her too! The only thing I don't like is she is lacking feathers down her middle toes.
