After some research I agree with you, that’s definitely the correct breed. I was going to harvest them but now I see they are prolific layers and lay large to jumbo sized eggs. Now I’m conflicted 😂 I think I’ll save a few of them.
Ok. So probably CX, they’re just not very plump and they can run fast, I was always under the impression that CX have leg and weight issues and grow super fast.
Can anyone tell me what breed of broiler this is? They’re growing relatively slowly, the pictured bird is about 12 weeks old. I’m beginning to think that maybe they aren’t broilers. Some of them have more black on their tail feathers and around the neck.
Thank you!
The breed is amber star which is a sex link breed and I thought they were hens for sure buuut I just saw it jump on a hen and peck the back of her neck, it has a huge comb and waddle but I just can’t tell for sure. Total newbie here
They’re a sex link breed, Rhode Island Red hybrid. Never had them before. They seem chill tho, super friendly when they were chicks but not so much anymore. I don’t treat my birds as pets tho
I got him as a random chick with no information on his breed and I’m wondering if someone can identify him. He’s not very big so I was thinking some type of bantam roo possibly? 🤷🏻♂️
