    I've tried this year to prevent my chickens from going broody. (but I do have a bantum that is this way all the time, it's ok I just let her) I've been cooling their favorite dusting off place and shade place so it doesn't get too warm by spraying it down with the hose. I'm hoping it works...

    I only feed about 38. It is a lot of work- I'm out of wheat right now so I have some steel cut oatmeal and just soak them about an hour. Still a lot of work with that many chickens. :)

    I sprout my wheat or even just soak it overnight. It's a lot easier on the digestion. :)

    I do let my chickens forage in the backyard- it's big. I grow comfrey and sorrel back there along with fruit trees (I have to protect the herbs or the chickens will have it at ground level all the time. I also have a worm farm. I love having this as I will give the worms the chicken poop and...
