    Sadly, no chickens are allowed in Hempstead. I even wrote to the town clerk in case the laws had changed but was told point blank, none! If you or anyone want to join forces to fight against this law, I would be thrilled. I'm dying to raise chickens.

    I guess you can have two hens and say they are pets. You can't control them laying eggs Anyone in Nassau County want to get together to fight the Town of Hempstead (or whatever town you are in) law against raising hens??
