Will my hens lay if there is not a rooster? I am under the impression I only need a rooster to fertilize the eggs. I hope so. Also I bought a chick and forgot the breed. It has since grown. I am thinking it might be a Rhode Island Red. I anyone can answer my question about the egg laying it...
that is good info i'm def gonna keep chickens for egg eating. i'm new to raising chickens. had to build a coop (well renovated my daughters clubhouse) and run to keep them in. Just got materials today to do it right and bigger!
