    Day-old chicks from a hatchery should not be pooping blood in a newly built brooder. I had no signs of coccidiosis on the newly erected farm for 2 1/2 years before Ideal's chicks. I didn't appreciate the infestation. I have never had day-old chicks from other hatcheries suffer from coccidiosis...

    my girls were attacked...

    I had a hen that I gave 50 stitches to. That is the entire sides of her were peeled back. I gave her combi-pen shots every 2 days 3x. She lived 2 healthy years before coyotes ate her.

    New babies!

    I found RIR to be the meanest chickens that I ever raised. Pecked my hand every time i grabbed for eggs. The roosters were just as nice. Enjoyed butchering the roosters. Sold every hen that I raised.

    I bought from them once. I never had Coccidiosis before their chicks. Not fun treating 700 chickens for it either. It was expensive!

    1 cc combi-pen IM if a standard size chicken. keep it clean. they r pretty hardy. have one running around that had 50 stitches at once.
