    :thumbsupHi, I am from West Australia also. For the last 10 years I have been in Indonesia. I got back into to chickens here because you can;'t buy a decent chook, that is a traditional breed as we know. I do enjoy reading the comments on BYC. Good luck for 2009.

    I am married 54 years of age with 2 boys, we live in Indonesia. I work in the mining business. I am originally from Australia, my wife is Indonesian. We have ten chickens, this is a hobby that the whole family really enjoys. I do hope you all have a wonderful New Year.

    Your chickens look great, please tell me what breed the rooster is? Plus the black hens with red feathers about their neck are they the same breed? I have a hen the same but never knew what breed, but the rooster I was shown was not spangled like yours?

    I have crossed red sex link with red sex link, got great looking birds. (The reason why is because I cannot buy good chickens where I live) Has any body done this before? if so what was your result? eggs, health, body etc.
