    When will my rhode island reds start laying?

    My RIR started at 21 weeks. I was shocked that they are not soft one at first. They're beautiful eggs! I'm so excited. Now for my leghorns to get busy!

    My Lucy laid her first egg this morning!!! It's beautiful! I thought it would be soft for the first one, but its beautiful! I'm so excited!

    What breed?

    Brown leghorn. We have one too. She's sweet but loves to run all over. She's fast too! I can imagine her running around yelling, " the sky is falling!" But most definitely you have a brown leghorn.

    We feel we need to name all our animals. My daughter and I had to figure out their names before the day was done. Ethel, who's gray with a yellow spot on her head, now has beautiful white feathers on her wings and her tail. Her tail feathers are super fuzzy. Lol very cute!
