This is the 5th annual Utah chicken event. Couple changes - I changed the name from Cache Valley Chicken Rendezvous to Utah Poultry-Palooza and it will be held in Farmington this year. This Saturday is the deadline for vendors and vendor fee. So far we are up to 30 vendors.

Cynthia, how did your Trader Joe eggs go? We tried those out for a New Year hatch after taking a few months break from hatching. No luck with ours! We only ended with a single little black Ameraucana chick from those that we put in.

This weekend in Cache Valley... The following weekend is the Utah Fancy Poultry Show at the Legacy Event Center in Farmington.

Does poop get bloodier within 24 hrs of treating? I saw a couple bloody stools yesterday, treated with Clorid and hit up this morning to quite a bit more bloody stool. I'm hoping this is because they are shedding it?

My little black one was a boy and I no longer have it. The other, top one, ended up being a Legbar/black Ameraucana. She ended up being black with a few random white feathers in her crest. She lays beautiful but small blue eggs. I'll try to remember to get a pic of her.

We have not had good luck at the one up here. We went often last year while we were building coops. Never found anything of use and eventually gave up. All the windows they had when we went were way too big.

We stopped by IFA in Igden to visit the chicks yesterday. Already the 2nd time visiting this season! Lol. I have too many chicks as it is though. Hatched 4 isbars yesterday and hatching some of my barnyard mixes today and tomorrow. One of the silkies I hatched in Dec took in the new babies...

She's adorable RJ! Love that color. My MG girls are so sweet. I just wish that brown red boy would be nice. :/

This year's Chickenstock will be on May 7th at the Idaho Falls fairgrounds. :D It may be called something different. It's a different group of people running it than last year.

Oh no. :( I just went to check on eggs and the incubator was really cold (60s). It looks like one of us was scrolling through the menu and didn't get all the way to save. We have a Brinsea Octo 20. Does anyone know if that means it's been cold since the last time we tried to adjust settings? I...

I have that mix and am hoping she lays olive. I also have Ameraucana/CL cross and a marans/CL cross. I was told by the marans breeder that her CLs eggs are too light and the mix will lay brown. :/
